03 / Access & extraction
Three-Storey Stairwell Bridging & Mirka M-Class HEPA Extraction
Our stairwell bridging uses a PASMA alloy tower and bridge beams to reach ceiling heights up to 10 metres safely—no ladders on the treads, no planks across the balustrade.
Every sander on the deck is connected to a sealed, dustless Mirka 1230 M-Class HEPA extractor, so the dust ends up in a filter bag, not on your landing. Towers are assembled by our own certified team (PASMA).

Questions on period interiors
How do you reach a three-storey stairwell ceiling safely?
We build an internal PASMA alloy tower in the stairwell and span bridge beams with anti-slip decking to the upper landing. It reaches ceilings up to 10 metres without a single ladder standing on your treads.
How much dust will there be in the house?
Very little. Every sander is plugged into a sealed Mirka M-Class HEPA extractor, which captures 99.97% of the dust at the sanding head. Floors and furniture are sheeted, and we vacuum down every evening.
Do you work in Grade II listed and conservation-area homes?
Yes, most of our stairwells are in listed or conservation-area houses in Jesmond and Gosforth. We use breathable distempers and mineral paints on lime plaster and keep original mouldings rather than replacing them.
Can you repair damaged Lincrusta and plaster cornices?
Small losses and cracks are filled and rebuilt by hand before painting. Larger runs are priced by estimate after we have surveyed the room, so the written quote reflects what is actually on your walls.
How long does a hall, stairs and landing take?
A three-storey Victorian hall, stairs and landing typically takes five to six working days, including the tower build, preparation and finishing coats.
